A Mexican police chief has confirmed a triple-shooting occurred Friday, and three Canadians were the victims. Lucio Hernández Gutiérrez made the statement on Twitter Friday. One of the victims died at the hospital, as reported by an ABC News affiliate. The police chief claims a verbal disagreement turned deadly, however, it is unclear what triggered the disagreement, and the resulting violence.
Mexican authorities released photos of the suspected gunman. The suspect was wearing a light-blue track suit. A number of pictures of the man have been released. The unidentified man is still at large at the time of writing. The police chief released a statement Friday evening on Twitter which roughly translates to: “this is the guest who shot causing the injuries that later caused the death of one of them, the authorities have deployed a strong operation for his capture, any information for a prompt arrest will be deeply appreciated.”
