Tired of wearing a mask? Quebecers will soon be free to walk bare-face in public.
The French-speaking province of Quebec is set to drop its provincial mask mandate. Dr. Luc Boileau, Quebec’s interim public health chief said the province will likely drop its mask mandate on May 14.
Dr. Boileau states that the province is headed in the “right direction,” however, he is not prepared to drop the mask mandate just yet. An update is expected next week.
Exceptions will likely include public transit and health care settings. The mask mandate is incredibly unpopular amongst certain Quebecers, with many describing it as “retarded.”
Despite governments around the world lifting mask mandates, health experts still recommend wearing one.
