MAN DOWN: Peaceful protester arrested near Parliament Hill

Justin Trudeau and the Liberal establishment continue their purge of Conservative voices.

Is it legal to protest in Canada? It used to be. But one man is finding that may not be true anymore.

Ottawa Police arrested a man that was peacefully protesting near Parliament Hill in Ottawa and charged him “causing a disturbance” on Wednesday night, as was reported by the Ottawa Citizen.

Police claim the man was wanted in Toronto on outstanding warrants, and he’s currently being shipped back there for a court appearance.

Police are warning protesters that anyone prohibited by the court from returning to Ottawa to stay out, lest they be arrested and charged.

Police have repeatedly stated that do they not want another convoy clogging up their streets, as was seen in February.

In February, police used violence to crack down on the peaceful trucker protest. One woman was sent to the hospital after she was trampled by a horse. She also happened to be Indigenous.

One of the lead organizers for the original Freedom Convoy is currently in jail. Tamara Lich will face a judge in July for an alleged “breach” of her bail conditions.

Her supporters are visibly angry about her arrest, labelling it a political persecution by Trudeau.
