Trudeau’s arch-nemesis Poilievre made it clear he will defend the rights of gun owners, and keep violent criminals in jail.
The leader of the Conservative Party (CPC), Pierre Poilievre, slammed Trudeau for punishing non-violent, legal gun owners and for letting violent repeat criminals out on bail.
In a video posted to Twitter, Poilievre pointed out how legal gun owners are not the problem, rather, gangbangers with long histories of violence are the problem.
Trudeau wants to let violent offenders out on bail so they can continue to re-offend. Whereas, Poilievre wants to make it harder for these types of criminals to get bail in the first place, and stay in jail for longer periods of time.
Since Trudeau has been in office, cities like Toronto have seen an explosion in gun crime. Mostly from criminals that have a long history of violence.
