The NDP leader proved to Canadians he not only fails at politics, but he fails at basic math, too.
Jagmeet Singh, leader of the NDP, is getting slammed on Twitter for failing to get his math right in a recent tweet (archived here).
Singh attempted to make a point by stating “Loblaws made $1.5 billion in profits.” He went on to give a number for how much Loblaws made each week, hour, and second.
However, the NDP leader that happens to be a lawyer by training, got his numbers wrong.
The correct numbers were posted by Dr. David Jacobs, the President of the Ontario Association of Radiologists. Dr. Jacobs criticized Singh for his mistake, adding “check your math before you tweet.”
The tweet was so obviously inaccurate that Twitter had to slap a note on it, warning readers that it contained “math errors.”
Twitter users were quick to denounce Singh’s bad math, with one person stating “there is no need for math in the NDP.”
