The social worker’s college has gone full North Korea, disciplining its members for wrong-think. First they came for Dr. Peterson, next it could be you.
An Ontario-based social worker claims she lost her job for the crime of supporting esteemed psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson.
Reena Kaur, based out of Brampton, made the statement via a GoFundMe page. The former social worker wrote:
“We live in a world now where we are asked to believe in the absurd when it comes to gender/biology.
If we dare to speak up and challenge this narrative (as I did) we are targeted, vilified, demoted, or in my case terminated from my job.
I lost my job and cannot get a reference letter. I was terminated for 2 reasons. My private tweets and my association with Dr. Peterson.”
The news was initially reported by True North and later by the Epoch Times. Dr. Peterson himself responded, attaching a link to the fundraiser.
This is not the first time a professional has lost their job or faced disciplinary action for wrong-think. In 2022, a police officer faced disciplinary action for her support of the Freedom Convoy.
The former social worker has received upwards of $2,500 to help with her cause. It is notable that GoFundMe has a history of cancelling Conservative-leaning campaigns.
The original fundraiser for the Freedom Convoy was shut down by the company, forcing the organizers to switch to the more reliable platform GiveSendGo.
GoFundMe originally tried to seize the funds and donate them to charity, in a move criticized by some as “theft.” The company later reversed its decision after public outcry.
