Ezra Levant joins Stephen Harper and Pierre Poilievre in endorsing Danielle Smith as she continues to dominate the polls

The UCP leader is backed by an all-star team of conservatives as she is projected to win the provincial election.

Ezra Levant is latest influential conservative to voice his support for Danielle Smith, joining former prime minister Stephen Harper and Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre.

Levant made the rare endorsement during a monologue, published in an article titled: Why every Canadian should support Danielle Smith, and every Albertan should vote for her

The Rebel News journalist and publisher stated:

“Alberta won’t survive the NDP winning.

I mean, of course it will ‘survive.’ But it will not survive in its current form.

It will be Detroited. It will go the way of California.”

Levant fairly points out that he was friends with Smith back in university, and has had his disagreements with her.

Levant states that he does not make the decision to publicly back Smith lightly.

This comes as conservative superstars Stephen Harper and Pierre Poilievre have similarly endorsed Smith.

The former prime minister endorsed Smith in a video posted to social media earlier in the week.

Harper stated, “in this election, there’s only one option to protect the economic livelihoods of you and your family. That’s Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party.”

Prime minister hopeful Pierre Poilievre endorsed Smith in a video that was later shared by the UCP leader on Twitter.

The CPC leader believes Smith will “unleash the full potential of [the] Alberta economy [so it will] grow and prosper in the future.”

Smith is projected to win the upcoming election, according to recent polls. The UCP is beating the NDP with 49% of the votes, according to a recent poll by Abacus Data.
