Pierre Poilievre is not the only person wondering what really happened at West Point Grey Academy.
The leader of the Conservative Party (CPC) reignited speculation over the true reasons for the prime minister’s abrupt departure from his teaching job during a debate in the House of Commons Wednesday.
Justin Trudeau stated that he was a “high school teacher before entering politics,” during the debate. Poilievre responded by stating that Trudeau “left right in the middle of a semester” and that he was “having trouble remembering why.”
Political commentator The Pleb responded to the exchange by saying, “holy shit. Pierre Poilievre actually went there.”
The rebuttal by Poilievre reignited speculation over the true reasons for Trudeau’s departure. It has been suggested that the prime minister left the school after he was caught having an inappropriate relationship with several students.
However, there is a lack of evidence for these claims. Fact-checking website Snopes shot down these allegations in an article, writing:
No publicly available evidence supports any claim that Trudeau had a sexual relationship with either a student or a student’s mother while he was a teacher at West Point Grey Academy between 1998 and 2001, nor that such an episode contributed to his departure from the school’s teaching staff.
Interestingly, Trudeau has given conflicting answers about the reasons he left his teaching position, offering at least four different explanations as to why he chose to leave mid-semester.
The prime minister’s inability to stick to the same story has lead many to believe that Trudeau is hiding something.

there was a payout to a 14 year old girl for her silence and a non disclosure agreement

What evidence is there for that claim?
Hank
I have to say, I’m a little surprised that this site would permit that sort of unsupported allegation to be posted. Maybe you are more current on libel law than I am?
Curious to see if it will post my comment pointing that out.

LOL Snopes? That website that uses weasel words and is staffed by failed liberal bloggers?
Hank
Do you disagree with Snopes’ assessment that the rumours are unsupported by evidence? If so, what is the evidence?

I can tell you the reasons why I left every job I ever had, and I don’t need to give different versions. So what’s Trudeau’s problem?
Hank
I have heard:
1. dispute over dress code and school values
2. disappointment over how school handled student article critical of school dress code in a newspaper Trudeau supervised
3. Moving on with career
4. Left to study engineering (this in 2018 from the person who was headmaster at the time Trudeau left)
1 and 2 are describing the same thing. 3 and 4 are different but not inconsistent with 1 and 2.
There are often multiple reasons why somebody chooses to leave a job, and plenty of legitimate reasons why you might only mention some of the reasons depending on the context of who is asking, why and when.

I have heard is not evidence
Rather not
snopes??? iT IS false propaganda site
Hank
Let’s assume you are correct that Snopes is propaganda. Their conclusion was that there was no evidence. Do YOU have evidence?
