FACT-CHECK: Did Giorgia Meloni CANCEL pride month?

The Italian prime minister has taken a tough stance on the LGBT community, earning her a reprimand from woke Justin Trudeau.

Giorgia Melonia, Italy’s first female prime minister, has taken a tougher stance on gay and lesbian “rights” than some of her western neighbours.

As a result, she has been described as “far-right” by the mainstream media, with some outlets describing her as a “fascist.”

The Italian government was criticized by the left after it stopped recognizing non-biological “parents” of children.

In reporting on the move, left-wing media outlet the Associated Press had this to say:

Gay rights activists on Tuesday denounced as homophobic moves by Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni’s far-right-led government to limit recognition of parental rights to the biological parent only in the case of same-sex parents.

Now social media is abuzz with reports of Meloni’s government cancelling pride month, and replacing it with “family pride month.”

However, despite her strong stance on LGBT “rights” and promotion of traditional, Christian values, there is no evidence this is the case.

The Italian government has not officially cancelled pride month, and neither Meloni’s social media channels nor that of her government have released such a statement.

Further, a quick Google search reveals that pride events in several major Italian cities are going ahead as planned.
