The left is coming after another holiday, and they’re getting an early start.
After making progress in having both Mother’s Day and Canada Day cancelled, the woke left has another target in mind: Christmas.
A woke school trustee, known for her mask advocacy during the pandemic, has her sights on the birth of Jesus.
While not every Canadian believes in Jesus, or choses to celebrate the birth of Christ, Dr. Nili Kaplan-Myrth has taken her objection to the treasured holiday to another level.
The City of Ottawa is trying to limit waste by setting a cap on how much garbage residents are allowed to send to the dump.
The new proposal by the city would allow for residents to throw out more garbage during the Christmas season, something Dr. Kaplan-Myrth took issue with.
The woke, mask-loving school trustee stated that she believes the Christmas season doesn’t warrant such an exemption, and that there are other gift-giving holidays.
She went on to state that any criticism of her position was “anti-Semitic.”
While there are other gift-giving holidays, Christmas is still one of the most popular holidays in the country, even celebrated by non-Christians.
This is not the first time the left has targeted Christmas. Last year, both the Eaton Centre in Toronto and the City of Edmonton opted not to install a Christmas tree.
Previously Dr. Kaplan-Myrth faced criticism for her outrageously strong stance on masks, going on an embarrassing rant during an interview with Ottawa-based radio station CFRA in 2022.
