Rachel Gilmore admits to spreading fake news, deletes inaccurate tweet: ‘Nuttier than a squirrel’

The professional smear merchant confessed to smearing Elon Musk.

A former Global News employee has admitted to spreading inaccurate information about Elon Musk, deleting a false tweet after public outcry.

Rachel Gilmore falsely claimed that Elon Musk had 88 subscribers, when in fact he has over 24,000. She also claimed, without proof, that the billionaire was using “neo-Nazi dog-whistles.”

After being called out for her error, the unemployed “journalist” admitted that her behaviour was “dumb.” She proceeded to delete the inaccurate tweet.

In response to her original post, Gilmore was slammed by conservative influencers across Canada. Kat Kanada proclaimed that the TikTok celebrity was “nuttier than a squirrel.”

Rachel Gilmore, an unemployed TikTok “journalist,” made a name for herself by smearing Pierre Poilievre and other right-leaning politicians while employed at Global News.

Despite being fired from her “journalism” gig, she continues to spread falsehoods and conspiracy theories targeting conservatives on her Twitter page.

She was previously fact-checked by Toronto 99 for falsely claiming Pierre Poilievre has ties to far-right extremists.
