A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after another stabbing on a subway.
Crime on Toronto’s transit system has gotten out of control. Another man was stabbed mid-day Thursday in the subway as it passed through Eglinton station.
The incident was caught on camera thanks to a citizen journalist that recorded the incident on their cell phone. Passengers were seen running and blood was seen splattered across the floor.
Toronto 99 has previously reported on the crime wave that has struck Toronto’s transit system. Recently, a train operator was threatened with a knife.
This comes as Olivia Chow transitions into her role as the new mayor of Toronto. Critics are concerned that Chow’s soft-on-crime stance and plans to defund the police may make problems worse for the city’s residents.
