Pfizer is having some bad luck, however there is no evidence any Covid vaccines were destroyed.
A Pfizer facility in Nash County, North Carolina has been “heavily damaged” by a tornado on Wednesday, as was reported by the Weather Channel.
50,000 pallets of “medicine” were strewn across the facility after the tornado struck the building. Several people have been injured.
The Pfizer plant was one of the largest pharmaceutical plants in the world, boasting 1.4 million square feet of manufacturing space, sitting on 250 acres.
Video provided by Weather Nation shows the incredible damage inflicted to the facility. Large parts of the plants are in ruins due to the tornado’s impact.
Pfizer has faced immense criticism for its marketing practices during the Covid-19 pandemic. While health authorities consider the jab “safe and effective,” the vaccine has caused serious injury and even death in some cases.
At the centre of the criticism is CEO Albert Bourla, a veterinarian that took over the reigns of the company in 2019. Prior to Bourla’s entrance, the pharmaceutical giant was known to have engaged in fraud.
In 2009, Pfizer settled with the United States Department of Justice for $2.3 billion, the largest health care fraud settlement in history.
