Another one of Trudeau’s rats is jumping ship, following Carolyn Bennett’s lead.
Omar Alghabra, MP for Mississauga-Centre and Minister of Transport, will not be seeking re-election, as was reported by journalist Kate McKenna.
This comes as fellow MP Carolyn Bennett jumps ship. Alghabra is the second MP to announce he won’t run for re-election after prime minister Justin Trudeau shuffled his cabinet members.
Alghabra came under fire internationally from conservatives earlier in the year after he posted a “cringey” video in support of women’s rights
