CTV caught spreading misinformation about Tom Jones death

The mainstream media has disgraced the memory of the late Tom Jones.

CTV News has been caught once again spreading fake news, this time about the death of celebrity director Tom Jones.

The news agency republished an article from wire service Associated Press (AP) without taking the time to make sure the article was accurate.

Instead of using a picture of the Tom Jones that died, the AP used a picture of a completely different person.

The AP runs a “fact-checking” service that calls out information it considers to be inaccurate.

The wire service corrected its error, but not before it was republished by multiple news outlets, including the Canadian outlet CTV.

Journalist Joe Warmington of the Toronto Sun was quick to point out the mistake, writing “fact-check that pic pussycat.”
