Those affiliated with gay rights programs are sometimes predators in disguise.
Police in a small city in California arrested the leader of an LGBT organization on suspicion of eliciting sex from a minor, as was reported by several media outlets.
The accused was the executive director of the Rainbow Resource Center, a group that supports members of the LGBT community.
Gerad Slayton was busted along with 16 other accused child sex predators in an online sting operation by Turlock Police Department.
“This operation was the culmination of months of planning by the Turlock Police Department and cooperating agencies. I am proud of … our team for their efforts to intercept those looking to harm children in our community,” the police chief stated in a press release.
This comes a week after a LGBT leader in Canada was arrested for similar offences. The former B.C. Pride society president was charged with possession of child porn and other child sex crimes in early January.
Sean Edward Leonard Gravells was charged with sexual interference, sexual exploitation, possession of child pornography, and distribution of child pornography, as was reported by Victoria News.
Parents in both the United States and Canada have raised concerns about what their kids are being taught in school, with some describing teachers that incorporate LGBT material into their lessons as “groomers.”
