Will Justin Trudeau resign at the end of February?
Canadian entertainment news source 6ixBuzz has reignited speculation that prime minister Justin Trudeau may resign from his position early.
On Wednesday, 6ixBuzz asked the question, “will Justin Trudeau follow in his father’s footsteps and resign on Feb. 29?“
The question ignited a wave of speculation, with many doubting the prime minister would resign. However, some are remaining optimistic.
Pierre Trudeau, Justin’s father, famously resigned on Feb. 29, 1984. This fact was mentioned in a recent National Post article, that asked the same question 6ixBuzz did.
Trudeau junior has consistently come up short in the polls, as has been reported extensively by Toronto 99. His political rival Pierre Poilievre continues to dominate, with even younger people becoming more open to voting Conservative.
There is no evidence Trudeau plans to resign on Thursday, and the speculation appears to be based on nothing more than the wishful thinking of columnists and social media critics
