A WEF spokesperson has denied viral claims of Schwab’s hospitalization. Klaus Schwab, the 86-year old founder of the WEF was reported to be in the hospital on Sunday, however a spokesperson disputed the claims and says Schwab is in good health. The German-born economic influencer faced accusations of being in the hospital and seriously ill, as was reported by conservative blog the Pacific Pundit. “Rumors are circulating that Klaus Schwab has fallen very ill,” wrote American X (Twitter) influencer Matthew Wallace to his 1.7 million followers on Sunday morning. “Klaus Schwab was apparently admitted to the hospital seriously ill. Anyway, that doesn’t bug me,” wrote Brazilian doctor Simon Goddek. Neither Wallace nor Goddek provided any evidence for their claims, nor did they specify where they were made aware of the “rumours.” The reports have not been corroborated by any mainstream news sources. Some remain skeptical of the claims, including researcher Mike Rothschild.
