Another day, another career ruined by the woke mob.
A prominent lawyer based out of Calgary is without a job after he committed the crime of joking about transgender people in the latest incident of left-wing cancel culture.
King’s Counsel Rob Rakochey was pressured to resign after he “mocked” transgender people and referred to women as “a person with a vagina,” as was reported by local media.
The questionable language was featured in an e-mail sent by Rakochey in regards to his annual golf annual tournament. “I long for the day that we can award the trophy to a person with a vagina,” wrote the distinguished lawyer.
Referencing trans people, Rakochey joked that “people [are] born one way but later decide they want to be another.”
His comments were enough to earn the ire of the woke mob, and public pressure lead to his resignation at the firm Field Law.
This is not the only case of left-wing cancel culture in recent days. Toronto 99 reported on a British Columbia mayor that was reprimanded for owning a book that questioned the mainstream narrative on residential schools.
