Conservative Don Stewart beat Leslie Church in Toronto-St. Paul’s by-election

POILIEVRE WINS BIG: Don Stewart wins Toronto by-election against Leslie Church, a massive blow to Trudeau's Liberals. Time for Trudeau to step down? #TrudeauMustGo

Don Stewart scored a surprise over-night victory in Toronto’s by-election.

Conservative candidate Don Stewart has defied the odds, beating his Liberal competitor Leslie Church in Monday’s by-election in the Toronto riding of St. Paul’s.

Stewart won 42.1 % of the votes, whereas Church only won 40.5 %, according to Elections Canada.

Church, and the Liberal Party, have been accused of using dirty tricks to win the by-election, and claims of voter fraud are rampant on social media.

These reports lack evidence and remain unconfirmed at the time of writing.

Toronto 99 spoke to a lone protester, Shawn, outside of Church’s campaign office on Monday.

Shawn states he is unhappy with the Liberal Party and believes Justin Trudeau is working against the best interests of Canadians.
