Record-breaking attendance at Calgary Stampede

Many Albertans attended the event to shake hands with their financially-savvy premier.

Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, made headlines for dominating the recent Calgary Stampede, flipping pancakes for thousands of hungry people.

People flocked from all over the province to shake hands with the premier, who is earning praise for securing a $4 billion surplus.

There was a time a few years ago when things weren’t so good in the economy (and) everybody was scaling back their parties. And I just don’t feel that this year,” the premier was quoted as telling the media.

Notably absent was the Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau. The infamous Liberal Party leader likely skipped the event to avoid the angry mobs that would oppose his presence.

With the Liberals’ defeat in a recent by-election, even the mainstream media is sounding the alarm that the Trudeau government will likely be finished in 2025.
