When journalist David Menzies of Rebel News attempted to ask questions on Wednesday at Yum Brands’ office in Vaughan, staff threatened to call the police.
At the time of writing, neither Yum Brands nor KFC have provided an official statement on the company’s decision to offer only Halal products in Ontario (and eventually the rest of Canada).
Toronto 99 has reached out to Yum Brands via e-mail, but did not receive a response, neither did a number of other media outlets.
