Karma has finally caught up to a certain far-left hacker.
The man that took responsibility for hacking donors to the Freedom Convoy was arrested in Oshawa, Ontario Wednesday at the request of authorities in the United States.
Aubrey Cottle has been charged with criminal offenses related to an alleged hack on the Texas Republican Party in 2021, according to a press release by the United States Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Texas.
Cottle is facing charges under Canadian law for his alleged crimes. This arrest was unrelated to his alleged hacking of Freedom Convoy donors.
In 2022, Cottle took responsibility for hacking and publishing information belonging to Freedom Convoy supporters that donated via GiveSendGo.
Cottle was assisted in distributing the hacked information by disgraced former radio host and internet troll Dean Blundell, as was previously reported by Toronto 99.
Despite public outrage and demands for an inquiry, Cottle was never charged in connection to the GiveSendGo hack.
Two of the Freedom Convoy organizers, Tamara Lich and Chris Barber, are still awaiting a verdict from their mischief trial.
The judge is expected to reveal his decision on Mar. 12. This comes after several delays and a lengthy trial.
