The Rolling Thunder motorcycle convoy was met with violence from members of Ottawa Antifa on Friday.
A large group of bikers descended onto downtown Ottawa for a peaceful rally in support of veterans, and freedom. However, Ottawa Antifa had other plans, and decided to threaten protesters with violence.
A lone member of Ottawa Antifa, donning a black face mask, approach a protester and threatened to light a firework in her face. The woman fled, asking others to “call the police.”
The incident happened on Rideau Street near the Chapters book store. The police have not arrested him as of the time of writing.
This event should come as no surprise. Earlier, Ottawa Antifa members subtly threatened to use violence during an interview with CTV News.
Radical leftist Brian Latour described the Rolling Thunder convoy as a “far-right fascist movement.”
Notably, Latour didn’t clarify why he thinks freedom-loving bikers are “fascist.”
He also failed to provide any evidence, and CTV failed to push back and ask him for proof.
Members of Antifa often state their group doesn’t exist, or if it does, it is not violent. However, this is demonstrably false.
Antifa is a real group, and it has used violence in the past. For example, a Trump supporter was murdered during a rally in Oregon in 2020.
