Freedom fighter Tamara Lich will be held in jail on Canada Day

Justin Trudeau and the Liberal establishment are showing the world that the regime does not tolerate dissent.

One of the lead organizers of the Freedom Convoy, Tamara Lich, will be held in jail way past Canada Day, having a bail hearing on July 5, 2022.

Andrew Lawton, a journalist with True North Centre, made the announcement on Twitter Thursday afternoon.

In response, her supporters described Lich’s arrest and continued detention as a “political persecution.” This sentiment was shared by PPC leader Maxime Bernier earlier in the week.

Lich is being held for an alleged “breach” of her bail conditions, however, her supporters question the motives of the Ottawa Police.

Some noted the timing was “suspicious,” and many have speculated she was arrested to discourage protests on Canada Day.

Despite this apparent attempt at intimidation, 1,000s of protesters have made their to Ottawa to meet with veteran James Topp.

Police and by-law in Ottawa have warned protesters not to shout, or they face significant fines. The amount of potential fines was increased for Canada Day.

For example, defecating on the street or sidewalk will be met with a $1,000 fine. Protesters have repeatedly stated they plan on being peaceful, and police don’t expect a “repeat” of what happened in February.

Earlier this year, Freedom Convoy protesters shut down a large part of downtown Ottawa, and held massive dance parties in front of Parliament Hill. The protest was described as peaceful, and drew support from all around the world.
