The Globe and Mail is proving to be the enemy of the people.
“Journalist” Gary Mason is getting some well-deserved hate mail after releasing a hit piece on Conservative-leaning Canadians, published in the Globe and Mail.
The piece is titled “a dangerous rage is sweeping the land.” In the article, Mason dismisses the genuine anger Conservatives feel for the prime minister and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh.
Mason also takes swings as prime minister hopeful Pierre Poilievre, writing:
“… [Poilievre] has given people fodder to be really angry with the Prime Minister, even if the issues aren’t necessarily exclusively his fault. He’s surely convinced many of them that whatever problems they have are Mr. Trudeau’s responsibility – that he alone is to blame for the fact their lives are miserable. In that framing, why wouldn’t they be enraged?”
However, Mason forgot to add that most of Canadians’ problems are Trudeau’s responsibility. The prime minister is responsible for running the country, and he’s doing a terrible job.
If anything, people’s attempts at seeking revenge at an under-performing prime minister should be rewarded, not condemned.
While violence and harassment are never okay, it is understandable why Canadians have chosen to lash out at politicians, and their propagandists.
Gary Mason needs to stop blaming others for his shoddy journalism, and start working on his own act. Maybe then he’ll receive less hate mail.
