Japan and Germany need Canadian gas, but Trudeau is not willing to provide it.
Canada is a country awash with resources, including an abundance of natural gas. Unfortunately, Canada’s allies including Germany and Japan won’t be getting what they need, at least not from Justin Trudeau’s government.
The Canadian prime minister has all but refused to increase the flow of LNG to Japan and Germany. This stance was criticized by Conservative MP Michael Chong. Now the Conservative Party leader is joining in to call Trudeau out.
Poilievre claims that Trudeau’s response to Germany and Japan’s request for natural gas is to “call the Kremlin” and to “ask Putin instead.”
The leader of the CPC went on to state he will approve natural gas projects and “turn dollars for dictators into paycheques for our people.”
Pierre Poilievre is a big supporter of Canada’s oil and gas industry, previously stating he will open the door to more pipelines and more resource extraction projects.

Dictator oil would be something like China oil or Middle Eastern oil. Russian oil isn’t the worst thing going.
