Canada’s Minister of Transport continues to shoot himself in the feet.
Omar Alghabra, MP for Mississauga Centre, has been ratio’d on Twitter for posting a “ridiculous” video meant to spread awareness about the ongoing issue of violence against women.
While gender-based violence is a real concern, the MP’s message appears to have been lost.
Many users took to the platform to describe the video as “pathetic.” Some went as far to describe the video as “sexist.”
The video spread internationally, with political commentator Ben Shapiro quote-tweeting the clip.
“This is in and of itself and act of gender violence,” the right-wing commentator wrote.
Coming in from England, children’s author J.K Rowling took aim at the Canadian politician.
“Keep us posted on how many femicides this prevented,” the controversial Britain wrote.
