A National Telegraph journalist and commentator destroyed a former left-wing MPP for failing to understand basic economics.
Wyatt Claypool, a Calgary-based journalist and political commentator, took former politician Cheri DiNovo to task for her inaccurate comments on inflation in a recent video.
The National Telegraph writer corrected DiNovo for incorrectly stating “it’s not taxes that drive up food prices, it’s price gouging. Otherwise big grocers wouldn’t be making record profits.”
In his YouTube monologue, Claypool slammed DiNovo, stating, “it is insane how unintelligent you can be and still be elected as a politician in Canada.”
The National Telegraph writer went on to state DiNovo doesn’t understand inflation, and that the only reason food prices are going up is because the price of everything is going up.
DiNovo was MPP for the Toronto riding of Parkdale – High Park for over 11 years. She continues to advocate for left-wing policies on Twitter.
