LOSER: Maxime Bernier loses another election, Conservative Branden Leslie declares victory

The leader of the PPC has lost his fourth election in a row.

Results from the election in the riding of Portage-Lisgar indicate that Conservative candidate Branden Leslie is the winner, and People’s Party leader Maxime Bernier is the loser.

This is the fourth election in a row Bernier has lost. Bernier ran in his home riding of Beauce in 2019 and lost. He ran in the York-Centre riding in Toronto in 2020 and lost.

In 2021, he ran again in Beauce and lost. Now he has lost again in the Manitoba riding of Portage-Lisgar.

Bernier has been slammed by conservative commentators for trying to split votes and ensure a Trudeau victory.
