COLA WARS: WHO to declare artificial sweetener a ‘cancer risk’

Elon Musk is raising the alarm after reports of aspartame being labelled a ‘cancer risk.’

Aspartame, a chemical used to artificially sweeten soft drinks, is set to be declared a health risk by the World Health Organization (WHO), as was reported by the Guardian.

The WHO has determined, based on research, that aspartame is “possibly carcinogenic to humans.”

The news has sent shockwaves through social media, with one of the world’s richest men chirping in at the development.

It is notable that the WHO also considers working overnight, eating red meat, and using cell phones to be potentially cancer causing.

The former president of the United States is known to be a consumer of Diet Coke. While president, Donald Trump consumed large quantities of the soft drink.

He also halted funding to the WHO due to its handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Russian government has taken steps to withdraw from the WHO, as was previously reported by Toronto 99.
