Stephen Harper under fire for meeting with conservative leader of Hungary: ‘Just appalling’

The former prime minister of Canada is being criticized for meeting with the Hungarian prime minister.

Stephen Harper, the man who lead Canada before Justin Trudeau took office, is under fire from his critics in the mainstream media for meeting with the leader of the European country of Hungary.

Dylan Robertson of the Canadian Press described Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán as being “far-right” in a recent column.

Stephen Harper had a different opinion, labelling Orbán as a “centre-right” leader, stating his meeting was part of an effort to strengthen ties between conservative parties in different countries.

Such meetings are not uncommon for current and former politicians. However, the left-wing media and its band of flying monkeys wasted no time trying to smear the Hungarian leader and shame the former prime minister for meeting with him.
