A Canadian lawyer and podcaster has changed his mind and is now advocating for legal consequences for government officials that signed deals with Pfizer.
Viva Frei, a lawyer-turned-podcaster, called for Nuremberg-style trials for government officials on X (Twitter) Wednesday evening after reading the purchaser agreement signed off on by government officials in English-speaking countries.
The point of contention was the fact that the purchaser agreement for Pfizer’s Covid vaccines admitted that long-term effects of the vaccine were unknown.
Purchaser … acknowledges that the long-term effects and efficacy of the vaccine are not currently known and that there may be adverse effects of the vaccine that are not currently known.
The document cited was a contract between the government of South Africa and Pfizer, however, the Trudeau government in Canada allegedly signed a similar agreement.
After reading the document, Frei stated that he had changed his mind about the prospects of Nuremberg-style trials, and is now calling for legal action against government officials.
Viva Frei is a pseudonym for David Freiheit. Freiheit made a name for himself by practicing law in Montreal, before pursuing podcasting full-time.
Freiheit often uses his education and experience as a lawyer to comment on political matters, although it not clear whether he is still licensed to practice law in Canada.
Nuremberg 2
“Nuremberg 2” refers to a proposed set of trials for government officials, health professionals, and corporate leaders that pushed the Covid-19 vaccine. The website MedPage Today explains the concept:
The idea is that the COVID-19 vaccines constitute medical experimentation, and anyone who promotes them — including doctors — should be held accountable, in the way that members of the Nazi Party were executed following the Nuremberg trials.
There is dispute over whether Nuremberg-style trials would be appropriate as a response to alleged crimes committed during the Covid pandemic.
The concept of Nuremberg 2 trials appears to be more of a fantasy on political forums and social media websites than a viable response to perceive injustices.
Fact-checkers from Reuters previously rejected the idea that Covid-19 vaccines violate the Nuremberg code. At the time of writing, there does not exist a legal mechanism to prosecute world leaders in this fashion.
While the Covid-19 vaccine has lead to serious injury, and even death, in rare circumstances, it is still considered safe and effective by health authorities across the world.
