Pierre Poilievre is Canada’s top choice for prime minister

Poilievre’s Conservative Party continues to hold a strong lead over Trudeau’s Liberals.

Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre continues to lead his party to near-certain victory, as recent polls suggest he has a 10-point lead over his rival Justin Trudeau.

When asked who their preferred prime minister was, 33% of Canadians chose Pierre Poilievre. Only 23% of Canadians chose Justin Trudeau, according to a recent poll by Nanos Research.

Toronto 99 previously reported on Poilievre’s strong polling numbers. Some polls indicate Poilievre holds a 36-point lead in certain demographics.

Trudeau faced a series of scandals in 2023, including accusations of Chinese collusion, cocaine consumption, and general incompetence.

To make matters worse, Trudeau’s family man image was smashed after an embarrassing separation from his long-time wife Sophie.

The Canadian prime minister has been accused of using his children as political props, violating their privacy and subjecting them to online ridicule.

The results from the recent Nanos poll align with other surveys which indicate Poilievre will likely be Canada’s next prime minister.
