The British pharmaceutical giant is being taken to court by victims of its ‘defective’ Covid vaccines.
AstraZeneca, a pharmaceutical company headquartered in the United Kingdom, is facing a massive lawsuit after a man claimed its Covid vaccine left him with a permanent brain injury.
Jamie Scott, a father of two, claims he suffered a blood clot after taking the vaccine, leaving him unable to work. In addition, the family of a man who died after taking the AstraZeneca jab is also suing.
The two claims are considered “test cases” and could pave the way for future lawsuits worth millions of dollars, as was reported by British news outlet The Telegraph.
This is not the first time a large pharmaceutical giant has been sued over deaths or serious injuries linked to its products. Toronto 99 previously reported on an Ontario man that is suing Pfizer after his son died after taking its Covid jab.
The claims in both the AstraZeneca and the Pfizer lawsuit have yet to be tested in court. Toronto 99 has not been able to independently verify the allegations made in any of the ongoing lawsuits.
Health authorities across the world continue to recommend vaccinations for protection against Covid, including the Canadian government. While Covid vaccines are safe for most people, serious side effects, including death, have occurred in rare cases.
Serious injuries and deaths related to the Covid vaccines, which were mandated by Western governments, have lead to calls for Nuremberg style trials for politicians and businesspeople that pushed the vaccine.
Critics have argued that the prospects of this type of trial are extremely unlikely, with some arguing that the mandates were necessary and supported by law.
