Who is Justin Trudeau dating? Is it Mélanie Joly?

After the Canadian prime minister suffered an embarrassing separation from his wife Sophie, rumours are circulating he may have already found a new partner.

In the months following the Canadian prime minister’s public separation from his long-time wife Sophie Grégoire, many Canadians are wondering, is Justin Trudeau in another relationship?

Rumours have been circulating that he may be having a secret relationship with Mélanie Joly, Trudeau’s Foreign Minister and Liberal MP for the Quebec riding of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.

Joly has been seen as a possible replacement to Trudeau, if and when he chooses to step down as the Liberal Party leader, according to a report from Politico.

Online betting sites, including Bovada, have allowed people to place bets on Trudeau’s next date. The current favourite is Joly, as was reported by the blog SportsGeek.

Rumours have been floating around over the past several months that Joly and Trudeau [are] getting cozy with one another,” wrote Kyle Eve, a sports and casino writer in a blog article published in early August.

Other have speculated that the Canadian prime minister is actually gay, citing the now-infamous picture of him and his son at the Barbie movie.

The Canadian prime minister has yet to announce a new dating partner to the public. There is no evidence that Trudeau is in a romantic relationship with Joly, nor is there any evidence he is a homosexual.

Sophie Trudeau has re-partnered with an Ottawa-based doctor named Marcos Bettolli, as was reported by the National Post. Bettolli originally completed medical training in Argentina before immigrating to Canada, according to his profile at the University of Ottawa.
