The infamous hooker killer continues to face the consequences of his crimes.
Robert (Willie) Pickton is currently on life support after a brutal attack by another prisoner in a maximum security prison in Quebec.
Pickton was hit in the head with a sharp object and immediately airlifted to the hospital after sustaining serious injuries, sources told local media.
The pig farmer was convicted in 2007 of 6 counts of second-degree murder, and was sentenced to jail for life with the possibility for parole in 25 years.
“What happened to [the victims] was senseless and despicable,” said the judge, Justice Williams, in passing the sentence.
Justin Trudeau and the Liberal government have faced criticism from Conservative MPs for allowing killers like Paul Bernardo to transfer from maximum security prisons to cozier medium security prisons.
Pierre Poilievre has vowed to keep dangerous offenders, like Pickton and Bernardo, in maximum security prisons until the day they die, as was reported by Toronto 99.
