Majority of Canadians disapprove of Trudeau – poll

Despite attempts to smear Conservatives, the Liberals continue to suffer humiliating poll numbers.

The Justin Trudeau government continues to poll badly in the summer months, with a recent poll suggesting that the majority of Canadians disapprove of the prime minister.

63% of Canadians disapprove of Trudeau, according to a recent poll by Morning Consult. United States president Joe Biden is slightly less unpopular with 55% of Americans disapproving.

The findings by Morning Consult align with other recent polls, which suggest Trudeau and the Liberals continue to be unpopular with Canadians, and Poilievre and the Conservatives continue to gain acceptance.

A recent poll by Nanos suggests that 42% of Canadians plan to vote Conservative in the next federal election, whereas only 25% plan to vote Liberal.

The surge in support for the Conservative Party was highlighted when the Liberals lost a traditionally red riding in Toronto in a recent by-election, as was reported by Toronto 99.
