Majority of Canadian women are voting Conservative – Abacus Data

The tides are turning: more and more women across Canada are crossing the aisle.

The majority of Canadian women plan to vote for Pierre Poilievre‘s Conservative Party (CPC) next election, as was suggested by a recent poll.

41% of Canadians plan to vote for the CPC next election, whereas only 23% plan to vote for Justin Trudeau‘s increasingly unpopular Liberal Party (LPC), according to an online survey by Abacus Data.

Abacus Data is a Canadian polling and market research firm headquartered in Ottawa, Ontario and often conducts studies on politics. Results from Abacus Data, and other polling companies, are aggregated by the X (Twitter) account Canadian Polling.

The recent poll results are in line with other polls by different companies, which suggest Poilievre and the CPC continue to be Canadians’ top pick come next election.

The trend is being highlighted by right-leaning influencers such as Brittany and Nicole, who recently started posting videos declaring their support for the CPC on X. The West Coast-based media personalities’ X accounts are @by__brittany and @nicoletmckenna respectively.

Even the mainstream media, which faces claims of bias due to receiving generous bail-outs from the Trudeau government, has indicated that the LPC is in trouble and will have difficulty winning the next federal election in 2025.

Toronto Star columnist Andrew MacDougall admitted in a recent opinion piece that the LPC is doomed, penning an article with the title: “Justin Trudeau’s political career is over. He can walk away with dignity now or stick around to get creamed by a man he loathes.”
