John Rustad may be the new premier of British Columbia, as the B.C Conservatives scored big gains in the recent provincial election.
However, residents of the province don’t know for sure, as the results have been delayed and won’t be officially tallied until later in the month.
The official vote count at the time of writing puts the NDP slightly ahead of the B.C Conservatives. This contradicts polls that suggested the Conservatives were poised to win the election.
The NDP has faced accusations of voter fraud, and critics are demanding a recount in the case that they “officially” win the provincial election. These allegations have not been independently verified.
Rustad scored large gains in the polls after vowing to deport terrorist sympathizers that operate in the province, as was previously reported by Toronto 99.
Less than half of registered voters showed up to vote in the election.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article stated that the Conservatives won the election. At the time of writing, both parties are still tied for first place. The social media image has been updated. Read more about our editorial standards.

What I am witnessing in great Canada is a continuous decline in politics. Politicians have become abusive. They are slinging mud over each other. Why has the government allowed political rivalries of other countries in Canada? In 2023, legal immigrants from India were 140000, the highest number. 30 thousand from China and 11 thousand from Pakistan. Why there is no complaint against any country except India? It also can not be denied that a Sikh leader was murdered and several other Sikhs were targeted. Canadian political leaders are requested to review their approach towards each other.
